“I never imagined that I would choose the travel industry. I had seen too many travel agencies and travel designers—working relentlessly, carrying enormous responsibility, yet receiving far less respect than the value they truly create. It was not a life I would have chosen—not even in my next lifetime.
And yet, everything changed when I began to design travel, not sell it.
Before this, I lived another life. I was a professional footballer (soccer). I coached and worked with over 230,000 people worldwide. I traveled to more than 100 countries, across 30+ regions, experiencing cultures at their deepest levels.
When I returned to Japan, something unexpected happened.
I realized—I knew almost nothing about my own country. I am Japanese. Yet Japan revealed itself to me as something endlessly deep, layered, and profound.
So I decided to begin again—to see, feel, smell, hear, and taste this country from edge to edge. I traveled to every corner of Japan. Remote villages. Sacred mountains. Forgotten crafts. Quiet rituals that never appear in guidebooks. Landscapes so delicate and powerful that words fail. Only then could I say this honestly: I now know a little of Japan.
And that “little” is something I feel responsible for sharing— but only with those who truly wish to understand it. The world is filled with words like exclusive, extraordinary, unforgettable. But in truth, very few people speak from lived experience. How can someone offer the extraordinary if they have never truly lived it themselves?
At that moment, several deeply trusted individuals and global agencies approached me. They asked me to design something that could not be replicated— super-high-level journeys across Kyoto, Tokyo, and Japan, beyond the reach of conventional luxury travel.
I paused…
And then I realized—this work could exist for a different reason.
Not for volume.
Not for status.
Not for profit alone.
But to protect culture, to elevate human experience, and to return what has been given—to Japan, its people, and its future.
So here we are. Together with my team, we design journeys that are rare, transformative, deeply personal, and uncompromisingly real. These experiences are not for everyone.
